Contrary to popular belief, the Martini has not always been served out of the iconic glass we think of today. In fact, back in the golden age of cocktails, it was very common to stir up a batch of Martinis in a pitcher and then allow guests to serve themselves, pouring the cocktail into short fanned glasses, like the ones in this set.
We found this set from the 1950s when one of our buyers popped into an antique store on a recent trip across the country. The crest on the glass is most likely a family seal or insignia of a club where the set was used; however, once you own them, you can say the seal represents whatever you like.
